We are seeking a motivated and organized Transit Planning Assistant to support a local transportation organization on a temporary basis. Assignment is anticipated to run through December 31, 2026, with a potential to continue into 2027.
Monday - Friday
20 hours/week; Office hours: 8 am-4 pm; Flexible schedule
Wage - $20.00/hour
Primary Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct research, data analysis, and field observations.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations.
- Assist with meetings and community outreach.
- Manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
- Handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation policy and planning, urban planning, public policy, economics, civil engineering, marketing, public health, or a related field.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with transit operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
