Sonographer
Job Description
We are seeking an A+ Sonographer for large medical facility located in Seattle, WA area.
Duties will include but are not limited to...
-Performs high quality Sonography exams that are consistently approved by the Radiologist, and performed to accepted protocol.
-Performs various Sonography exams including, but not limited to: abdomen, breast, renal, gynecologic, groin, scrotal, small parts, musculoskeletal, head/neck, and extremity.
-Assists Radiologist with invasive Sonography procedures.
-Accurately takes patient history for exams.
-Disinfects ultrasound room between each patient to prevent spread of disease and using appropriate PPE.
-Prepares procedure trays for breast biopsies and invasive procures as well as prepares biopsy consent, biopsy aftercare & lab paperwork for pathology.
-Obtains appropriate patient histories / demonstrates proficiency at utilizing EPIC & PACS in locating prior reports/studies pertinent to exams being done.
-Utilizes EPIC to track patient check-in/availability and accurately codes procedures.
-Assists limited mobility patients with getting on and off the ultrasound stretcher.
Position is FT, Mon-Friday NO WEEKENDS! Salary is DOE $40+ p/hr

Job Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required
Accredited Sonography Program to pass the ARDMS
Experience: One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred but NEW Grads Encouraged to APPLY
Anatomy and medical terminology preferred.
Medical office experience preferred.
Understanding of ultrasound procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.
Registration: Must have successfully passed ARDMS registration (has one discipline in place)
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS required
