Job Description


We are seeking a skilled Shop Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing manufacturing facilities and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. The Shop Maintenance Specialist will also oversee safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, and pneumatic issues
  • Conduct welding repairs and residential painting as needed for facility upkeep
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation
  • Supervise maintenance tasks, and ensure safety compliance during all activities
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work orders and inspections
  • Assist in facilities maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and participate in safety training sessions
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal teams by ensuring minimal downtime of equipment

Requirements
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings
  • CNC Machinery/Machine Shop atmosphere is a MUST
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
  • Electrical experience including troubleshooting with diagnostic tools
  • Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general repair work
  • Leadership experience in a maintenance environment is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality assurance
