Referral Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a Referral Coordinator to assist well-established healthcare organization on a long term temporary status. The Referral coordinator serves as a key point of coordination between patients, providers, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate handling of referrals.
Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
Pay $21.67+
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing patient referrals
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and specialty offices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in electronic systems
- Track referral status and follow up to ensure completion of care
- Address patient inquiries related to referrals and scheduling
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare administrative or coordination role preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
