Parts Handler & Receiving
Job Description
A structural steel and metal fabrication company in Airway Heights is looking for day and swing shift Parts Handlers to assist in the shop flow by managing parts and inventory. Must be able to read shop drawings and cut lists. Must have good math skills and be able to use a tape measure. Previous fabrication shop experience is desired. Good work ethic and attendance is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
-Manage all parts, including cut-to-size plates
-Data entry of new parts into inventory
-Use cut list to pull parts and organize for shop
-Ensure welders/fitters have necessary parts and materials
-Oversee machine shop processing of cut-to-size plate
-Able to operate a forklift and overhead crane - training can be provided
-Report defective materials and parts to proper department
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE, but are not limited to:
-Ability to read and understand shop drawings and cut lists
-Strict adherence to industrial safety rules and requirements
-Excellent basic math skills
-Previous experience using a tape measure
-Able to lift 75lbs
-Basic computer and tablet skills
SHIFTS Mon-Thursday:
Day Shift: 4: 00am-2: 30pm
Swing Shift: 3: 00pm-1: 30am
MUST BE ABLE to pass a pre-employment physical/drug screen and background check
