Job Description
We are seeking a quality medical biller with 2+ yrs. Experience for busy specialty office located in Spokane, WA. Must be comfortable navigating insurance websites, speaking with patients regarding sensitive matters and CPC knowledge VERY HELPFUL!
This position will be responsible for answering patient phone calls, taking/posting payments, billing of claims, statements, bad debt, and other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
Scrubbing of charges and submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance payers.
Posting insurance and private pay payments in timely manner.
Manages accounts receivables, research and resolve claim denials, file appeals and reconsiderations.
Researching and processing insurance and/or private pay refunds.
Processing credit card payments.
Assists with billing department phone calls from internal staff and/or patients.
Processing daily department mail.
Assist with other billing department tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
3+ billing experience preferred.
NextGen experience a plus.
Knowledge of health care insurance claim practices and compliance.
Knowledge of computer systems, programs and applications.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of basic medical coding.
Ability to enter accurate data.
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
Excellent customer service skills and phone manner.
Position is FT, Mon-Friday 8-5pm. Salary is DOE!
