Job Description
A manufacturer of custom air-handling units is looking for a Health & Safety Manager for their Cheney, WA location. Qualified candidates will have a manufacturing background. Sheet metal experience is a huge plus! Must have safety certifications or a degree in Occupational Health & Safety. This is a hands-on role so must be willing to work as a team with production and other management staff.
PAY:
$75k - $95k/year
Depends on experience and education
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
-Oversee all aspects of the occupational health safety program
-Review and implement safety policies/programs
-Decrease/eliminate occupational injuries
-Create health & safety program and train employees
-Maintain all health & safety records
-Thorough investigation of workplace accidents/injuries
-Manage all injury and worker's comp claims
-Provide safety audits and recommendations
-Work with engineers to develop and acquire safety devices
REQUIREMENTS include, but are not limited to:
-Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or related experience/training)
-Safety Management Specialist (SMS) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
-Previous manufacturing experience
-Previous management experience
-Excellent communication skills verbally and written
-Good people skills
