Job Description

An equipment dealer specializing in street waste management and sewer equipment is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Service Technician to perform service/repair on refuse trucks, street sweepers, vac trucks, commercial trash compactors, balers and other equipment used in street, sewer, and the processing of solid waste. DC electrical installation/repair/troubleshooting, hydraulic installation/repair/troubleshooting, mechanic component installation/repair, and welding experience a huge plus. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics is desired. Willing to train candidates with excellent mechanical and/or electrical aptitude. There will be some travel required for this position. Must be a problem-solver who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty! Prior experience in the refuse or street equipment maintenance industry is a strong plus!

PAY:
$25.00-$45.00/hour or more
Depending on experience
Possibility of overtime

SHIFT:
Monday-Friday
8: 00am-4: 30pm
Some overnight travel will be required

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
-Diagnosing and repairing commercial refuse trucks/equipment, street sweepers, vac trucks, and underground camera systems
-Preparing new equipment for final delivery, repair/installation of customer equipment
-Traveling throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana to provide service - hotel and overnight per diem provided
-Supply your own hand tools and electrical test equipment - some tooling provided - required tool list available at client interview
-AC/DC electrical, PLC, relay logic, multiplex system, hydraulic installation/repair, welding, and general mechanical repairs
-Maintaining cleanliness, reasonable inventory, and safe operation of company-provided service vehicles and assigned shop space

REQUIREMENTS include, but are not limited to:
-Must be able to work independently or in team setting
-Excellent communication skills and good customer service, both orally and written
-Attention to detail and high-level accuracy, as well as problem-solving skills - "See it, own it, solve it, do it"
-Possess and maintain a valid, insurable driver's license with clean driving record - Class A or B CDL is a plus
-Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical schematics used in the mobile equipment industry? A/C electrical experience is a plus
-Ability to work with and understand CD Voltages - Single and three phase power in voltages ranging from 24vac to 480 vac is a plus
-Work smarter, not harder, be accountable and disciplined
-Ability to fabricate accessories used in the mobile equipment industry is a plus
-Ability to install hydraulics and electrical components
-Ability to install work beds, dump boxes, bodies etc. Is a plus
-Enthusiasm, professionalism and a strong work ethic

MUST BE ABLE to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, drug screen (including random drug screening)
