Job Description
A Spokane manufacturer of custom electronic hardware is looking for a machinist trainee who is mechanically inclined and good with their hands. Previous Swiss-style Screw Machine experience with Star or Fanuc controls is a huge plus, but they are willing to train the right person. Excellent work ethic and good attendance habits are greatly desired. Must be able to read blueprints, micrometers, and calipers. A steady 40 hours a week with a start time of 5am. Management can flex the schedule based upon production needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
-Quality control on newly made parts
-Materials handling and loading machine
-Preventative maintenance on machines, including oiling
-Using optical comparator
-Pulling tooling/collets out of machine
-Keeping work area clean, including mopping
REQUIREMENTS include, but are not limited to:
-Physically able to stand for most of scheduled shift
-Able to bend, squat, stretch as needed
-Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
-Experience using micrometers and calipers
-Able to read blueprints and compare parts to blueprints
PAY:
$19.00 - $25.00/hour
Depending on experience
